about

Paint and Copter's newest album titled "More Trial, Less Error" is comprised of 12 long simmering songs that warp the mind with burning synths in a smoldering guitar universe. Drawn out, loping, and ethereal, Paint and Copter revel in hazy moods and beautiful rainy day melodies. The cast of this group has been in some classic Northwest space out bands including The Plants, Jessamine, Point Line Plane, The Bering Sea, and Fontanelle.
“More trial, less error” slowly unveils it’s treasures of space rock instrumentals interspersed with gothic tinged pop songs. Haunting harmonies, melancholic melodies, and warm textures float effortlessly throughout the solid bass lines and dreamy washes. Singer Andy Brown’s rich, deep, and hollow voice flutter throughout the album like the moon rising slowly through a cloudy night. Paint and Copter will definitely appeal to fans of Tones on Tail, Piano Magic, Colder, Jesus and Mary Chain or Can. 11 original songs are complemented by a cover of American Alcoholic by NPR label mates, Rollerball, whose Mae Starr is featured on a few tracks.
North Pole Records once again stretches the way music is disseminated to the masses in this new economy by packaging the album “More trial, less error” as a one sided 7” record (with silk screened b-side) featuring the first album track, Lord of the plain. Inside the slipsleeve cover you will discover the download code for the full album. Come on down, Space out.
